How do you make the most of the Indian Goddess Festival?
How can you connect with the Goddess at this most auspicious time to accomplish your aims?
The annual autumnal Indian Great Goddess Festival is called Navaratri, which is Sanskrit for “Nine Nights.” It is a potent time for divine empowerment, spiritual purification, and personal transformation through the Grace of the Goddess.
How do you make the most of this time for your spiritual goals?
This festival occurs in tandem with the autumnal equinox, when the days grow dark and we need to summon the light to carry us through the mythic "midnight of the gods." It occurs immediately after the dark fortnight of departed souls (pitṛ-pakṣa), wherein the Goddess' power is invoked for protection, purification, and prosperity.
These Nine Nights of the Goddess culminate on the 10th day called Vijaya Daśamī, i.e., Victory Day, marking the triumph of the Goddess of the forces of darkness.
What demons do you battle, whether inner or outer? What victory do you seek? How can you connect with the Goddess at this most auspicious time to accomplish your aims?
